Spots & glows

Camping country — a green glow from a distance; tents take over as you zoom in Shoreline camp spots — green tents are great, orange are decent. They show once you're zoomed in Promising hunting ground — amber patches; darker means stronger evidence (Hunt mode) Promising water — amber patches sized to the lake; darker means stronger evidence (Fish mode) Lakes where the survey found your fish are tinted amber (Fish mode) A darker centre inside a patch is the best-rated spot in it. Tap anywhere in a patch to see why Blue fish badge — Ontario stocks this water (Fish mode) Your saved spots Your waypoints — tree stand, trail camera, bait, blind, truck, camp, portage, fishing spot Your recorded tracks (purple) Gear shops — a shell for guns & ammo, a hook for bait & tackle, a boot for outdoor gear Only show spots rated 6 out of 10 or better Also show park shoreline (no free camping there)

Offline

Move the map to the country you're headed for, then save it. The map, the land answers, camp spots, depths and the hunting and fishing info all come with you past cell service. Free while BushMap is in beta.

Appearance

Match phone switches between Day and Dusk with your phone. Dusk keeps the app dark with the map in daylight colours — easier on your eyes at the truck. Night map darkens the map too, if you want it.
